Bangka Belitung is one of Indonesia provinces. It includes two large islands, Bangka and Belitung, and several smaller ones. By air, there are 2 airports in Bangka Belitung. First, get a flight from Jakarta, Batam, Palembang or Belitung and another cities to Depati Amir Airport in Pangkalpinang.
Flights are also available between Tanjungpandan Airport H.A.S. Hanandjoeddin, Pangkalpinang and Palembang in South Sumatra.
To travel by the sea from Jakarta and several another cities to Bangka Belitung will take about 24 hours. There are boats Pangkalpinang to Belitung.
Bangka and Belitung Islands are two main islands of Bangka Belitung. Bangka Belitung has hundreds of islands and only dozens are uninhabited. The islands are famous for their beautiful beaches and delicious cuisine.
Tanjung Pesona Beach
Located in the village of Rambak, Sungailiat, or about 15 minutes from Sungailiat or 45 minutes from Pangkalpinang. It is beautiful and equipped with a variety of entertainment and game facilities.
Parai Tenggiri Beach
Located in Sungailiat, Bangka, precisely in Sinar Baru Village, about 30 KM north of Pangkalpinang. This beach has a sloping contour with relatively small waves. It is one of the main beaches for tourism in Bangka Belitung Islands.
Tanjung Kalian Beach
There is a ship from World War 2 era stranded in this beach. Another attraction of this beach is a lighthouse from the Dutch era in 1862. This beach is clean and beautiful. It is located approximately 10 km from the city of Muntok.
Bangka Belitung is famous as the biggest tin producer in Indonesia. Indonesia Tin Museum is located in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Island. Established since the 1950s, but it was inaugurated on August 2, 1997. It stores long historical record of tin, as well as historical value that is important for the independence of Indonesia.
This island is part of Belitung has a very old lighthouse that was built in 1882 by the Dutch and still active until now. Other alluring charm of this island is a stretch of clear blue sea with dazzling granite rocks.
Memperak Island is not widely known by tourists. This island presents a turquoise sea water and clean with fascinatin natural underwater beauty. Snorkeling and swimming are the right activities that you can do here.
Tanjung Kelayang Beach
Located about 27 km from Tanjungpandan with rock formation like a bird's head. The virgin sandy beach makes this coastal area often used as a venue for large events, such as Sail Indonesia or Sail Wakatobi – Belitong.
Tanjung Tinggi Beach
One of the filming location for Laskar Pelangi. Located about 30 km from the city center of Tanjungpandan. This beach has alluring panorama with white sand and granite rocks arrangement.
Located not far from Tanjung Kelayang Beach, there is Kepayang Island. It's white sand and large granite rocks become special dish of nature. As far as eyes can see, its beauty seemingly inexhaustible.
Burung Mandi Beach
Located in East Belitung, but unlike the other beaches in the area, there are no giant granite rocks on this beach, but hundreds of pine trees that bordered the beach from mainland with background view of Mount Burung Mandi.
