Getting Around

By Air: Adi Sumarmo International Airport in Surakarta, Achmad Yani International Airport in Semarang and Tunggul Wulung Airport in Cilacap. There is one new additional airport on the Karimunjawa isles, Dewandaru Airport.
By Road: Central Java is connected to the inter-provincial national way. Some public buses have routes to many cities in Central Java from other cities outside Central Java Province and even outside Java Island.
There are five railway lines in Central Java: Jakarta - Semarang - Surabaya, Kroya - Yogyakarta, Surakarta - Surabaya, Semarang - Surakarta and Kroya - Cirebon.
By Sea: The main port is Tanjung Mas in Semarang. Another harbours are located in Brebes, Tegal, Pekalongan, Batang, Jepara, Juwana and Rembang and Port Tanjung Intan in Cilacap.
