Banten is the most west province on the island of Java. Located close to the capital of Jakarta, Banten offers the uniqueness and diversity of cultural attractions and natural beauty. With a fairly easy access, Banten becomes a choice of holiday location for residents in the surrounding towns.
A major highway connecting Jakarta and Merak runs along the northern coast, divided into sections: Jakarta - Tangerang - Merak, part of the Trans-Java toll road. The province has a busy ferry terminal to Lampung on the island of Sumatra. The only commercial airport in the province is the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The airport is located in the city of Tangerang. The distance between the airport to Tangerang City downtown is around 30 minutes, depending on the traffic, especially during rush hours. Please beware that there are number of damage roads and potholes due to large heavy trucks and big buses to and from the port of Merak.

Close to Anyer Beach, this unique beach has a rock with hole from the the blow of the waves. Hence, the name of Karang Bolong. It is not safe to swim here due to many coral reefs across the coast.
Located in Pandeglang, this beach has small waves and white sand. You can also see Mount Child of Krakatoa from the shore. There are numerous tourism facilities and accommodations around the area.
Ujung Kulon National Park
Located in the western tip of Java Island. The main activities that you can do here are trekking, camping and watching the wild animals. The main function of Ujung Kulon National Park is as a rhino sanctuary from extinction.
A region in the tip west coast of Java Island, about 180 km from Jakarta. Tanjung Lesung has clean and beautiful white sandy beach. Here, you can do diving, water sports, fishing and spend your weekend in a villa or resort.

Name of Sawarna Beach became more popular in recent years. Located in Sawarna Village, this beach is approximately 150 km away from Rangkasbitung. Besides relaxing, you can surf here and ride on the big waves.
