Batam has Hang Nadim International Airport. Through this airport, people from various cities in Indonesia, for example, Pekanbaru, Palembang, Medan, Jakarta and Surabaya are able to visit Batam. The airport also serves international flights from and to Malaysia. Batam can also be accessed by ferry from various cities in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.
