Nusa Penida is one of the three sister's island of Bali. Administratively, the island is a district of Klungkung regency. There are two small islands nearby: Lembongan Island and Ceningan Island. The Badung Strait separates the island and Bali. The interior of Nusa Penida is hilly with a maximum altitude of 524 metres. It is drier than the nearby island of Bali.
