About Hong Kong Ocean Park

Ocean Park Hong Kong is a marine-life mammal theme park, oceanarium and amusement park, located in the southern district of Hong Kong Island, precisely at Wong Chuk Hang and Nam Long Shan. Opened in 1977 by the then Governor of Hong Kong Sir Murray MacLehose, it is now the world's 13th most visited theme park, and the largest theme park in Asia, covering more than 915,000 square metres. The Waterfront and The Summit areas are connected by the Cable Car and Ocean Express funicular train. It became the first Asian winner of the biannual Applause Award in 2012, the most prestigious award in the amusement and theme park industry.
