Itinerary:

Meet your guide inside of Gambir Station and kick off a day of exploring the best of Gambir area. The station that connects Jakarta with others cities in Java has its appearance evolved several times in history.

Opposite of the station there is Immanuel Church which was established to honour the first king of the Netherlands, King Willem. Stop by to see its elegant architecture.

Make your way to Pancasila Building where Ir. Soekarno, the first President of Indonesia delivered the state’s ideology. Learn the significance of this former colonial legislature assembly to the nation’s independence.

The next destination is Buffalo Field. Despite of it’s name you won’t find the animal here as they were driven out when the city expanded. Listen to the story of the new city development. Enjoy the greenery inside the park where a statue commemorating freedom of the eastern province is stood tall.

The 160 metres empirical Ministry of Finance building is the next stop that cannot be missed in this itinerary. It was constructed when the Governor General Daendels shifted the capital city to Gambir and were planned as the civic centre.

The first stop of your half day tour is Jin De Yuan Temple which is the oldest temple in Jakarta. Along the way, you will find a lot of crowds enjoy unique cuisines that are famous for its authenticity. Make your way to visit Kalimati market which sell local foods like Bak Cang, Moon cake, Ketupat sayur and tropic fruits such as Salak.

The guide will explain some foods that has its own symbols and meaning. Another interesting temple will be the next destination. In 1740 this unique temple was destroyed in a riot that has an implication for the future and still has some remarks about the geographic location.

Enjoy your guide colorful commentary at the next temple which dedicated for Guan Gong, the patron of battle. Wander inside the temple to see the ornaments of this “peranakan buliding”.

Finish the tour in one of the last remaining Chinese mansion in Jakarta. Uniquely located under high towers, the building was save from extinction. "Cycling Tour Jakarta"

Was a nice tour, our tourguide Cipru was easy going and speaks english very well. I have been in Jakarta earlyer and Cipru took us to other places like the bank of Jakarta and the railway station.
